09/20/09

Finally it came to the day.

Everything was so perfect and beautiful.

I am very happy.

I hope all of you are as well.

I feel so lucky and so grateful to have my big family and all my friends to celebrate with us.

Our cake ~~~ Jenna, our florist did such a great job.
Me and Kevin designed the cake with peony engraving on the icing.

Save the Date

Yes, Yes... =)
I still decided on a "Save the Date" magnet idea.
Used a few of the photos taken from China, and found a website that's not pricey to purchase those magnets.

Wedding Gown chosen

After looking around, I finally decided on this Sottero & Midgley dress.

I have thought about going to Portland or Seattle to shop for the dress, but it will be too inconvenient for me to do alterations in store. So I still decided to choose a local wedding dress boutique.

I went back to try on that dress again. I still love it. ^^

Here is a link of that dress i found online:

The followings are me wearing it:

I will post more pictures later.

Wedding Photographer

Kirk Mastin really does a wonderful wedding photography.

I talked with him on the phone. He sounds very excited about our wedding. and he strongly recommended the HLCC.

Yeah, everyone loves his work. =)

After we have the monthly planning meeting, I will confirm with him on the package we choose.

2pm at mom's on Feb 15th ? (Is it okay for me to bring gogo?)

GOGO - our first puppy

Gosh, have to introduce to everyone our new puppy - GOGO

He is a 5-month old Schnauzer.

He just learned how to climb up the stairs but still having problems go down the stairs. But he's learning fast ~~
He wouldn't sleep by himself in his little dog bed unless we do(imagining that). hm... not sure what to do. We are reading the book borrowed from mom's neighbor.

Yesterday we took him to the Vet and had vaccines. The whole time he behaved really well, like the nurse said "flat like a pancake" on the table. He was soooo nervous... but he did well, and got a lot of praises from everyone. hehe =)

So far, GOGO does his business outside.
The schedule now kind of works like, the first thing in the morning after I wake up, I will take him outside. After I leave the house, he'll wait until Kevin gets up and play with him for a little while. Then after Kevin leaves, he will stay by himself for about 7 and a half hours until I get home. Hopefully GOGO will get used to this schedule.

Venue decided

I guess I was really lucky.
Everyone knows that I really want to have the wedding held at hayden lake country club. But without a member sponsoring it, I can't do it.

So Kevin and I started asking all the people we know of, but we didn't have any luck until at a Chinese New Year dinner party, we got together with Hui-hsing and her husband David. He told me that he might have a friend who is the member of that club. He quickly introduced us to his friend Dave and his family. It happened that Dave's parents(Helen and Hank) are the members of the club, and they were super nice and willing to be the sponsor of our wedding. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet them and thank them in the near future.

I've already scheduled a time to meet with the event coordinator of the club, and will keep you all updated on that.

I've also talked with the photographer- Kirk. He sounded really nice over the phone, just like his photos - warm and friendly. ^^ I told him I'll let him know which package we decide on.

Looks like it's a good beginning for us to start the NIU(ox) year.
